What is Chümpa?

pronounced "CHOO-mpah."

Chümpa is more than a brand; it's a celebration of Central American heritage. The name, Chümpa, is a nod to the slang term for "jacket" in Central American countries including El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. We've taken that meaning and built a brand dedicated to responsibly creating high-quality, long-lasting apparel that embodies exceptional craftsmanship. We partner with premier Central American talent, collaborating with skilled individuals leading within their respective fields.

At Chümpa, we believe in mindful creation. We're committed to producing pieces that are unique and beautifully designed, while also made with respect for people and the planet. Our goal is to create apparel with purpose. We reject waste and fast fashion, instead focusing on pieces that are thoughtfully designed and built to endure the test of time. We're committed to using conservation-friendly materials and a production process that is humane and ethical. When you choose Chümpa, you're not just getting a great piece of clothing—you're getting a piece of art, a story, and dedication to a better, more sustainable future.
